is it possible to over filter a pond?
i have a 700 gal pond with 5 small koi, and i was wondering if it is possible to over filter my pond, because i have a 1340 gph pump hooked up to a filter that is built for up to a 2000 gal pond, and also is says on the filter that the max flow rate is 1000 gph, but i am using a pump that pumps 1300 gph is this bad
also the filter is a biofilter so would this be bad to have to much flow in a biofilter?
NO ! , the more water movement the better. but you need to stay with the pump requirements. put a valve between the pump and the filter to restrict the water flow.
