I am not a boat owner – just curious. I am familiar with the bilge pump term, but what about a bilge fan? Do you have a bilge blower 'suck' or 'hit'? When lights or is it automatic? What exactly does it do?
The bilge blower, sucks the air out of the bilge, drawing in fresh air through vents bilge ventilation. Yours may be automatic. Manually turn in a minute or two before you start your engines to rid the bilge of flammable gases collected of oil or fuel leaks.
