Are fiberglass bass boats suppose to take on water?
I have a 1982 Glastron fiberglass bass boat. The last time I pulled it out of the lake, I removed the plug and watched water pour out for over a minute. I was wondering if it is suppose to take on any water at all or should I be looking for a hole somewhere?
Also my bilge pump wasn’t working and I have noticed a finger sized hole on the inside of the boat where the bilge pump sits… the hole goes to the empty area beneath the floor and above the hull.
How can I find a hole in my hull?
NO! It should not be taking on water.
You have a crack or hole somewhere.
A LITTLE water is OK… [Still not great?] but a LOT of water is not good.!
