Paseo de la Florida Everglades Airboat
Our Cypress Airboat tour was the trip of your life. We took the whole family in Everglade adventure, and was a great experience for all of us. The special price for children made an affordable family outing during our Florida vacation, and I am sure that children remember their airboat ride in the Everglades for a lifetime. We have wonderful memories and photos of our airboat ride in the Everglades to take home and share with friends.
Before our trip, was not even sure what an airboat, but I had heard was the best way to see the Everglades! Many areas of the Everglades are only accessible by air boat, so it would certainly recommend an airboat tour, if you are interested in the ecology and wildlife of the Everglades. I was surprised pleasantly to find the airboat ride smooth enough to be comfortable in the shallow waters of the Everglades and fast enough to be a lot of fun for all of us. For anyone who does not know, airboats are light, small boats driven by a propeller plane rear mounting. While our group was small, Cypress airboats can handle groups of up to 14 in its largest airboats. We took a tour of two hours, but shorter and longer are both tours available. Even will schedule night tours! We ruled that out by children, but I imagine it would be wonderful for adults. While I do not hoped that the air boat to be fast, can move quickly through the swampy waters of the Everglades. Children, in particular, liked this part of our Everglades airboat adventure.
We chose Cypress hydrofoils over other companies in the area for several reasons. First, have a great experience and know the area, so we felt would give us a safe and fun experience airboat in the Everglades. Our main reason for choosing Cypress airboats on its competitors was the depth of the road. Many airboat tours are just a few miles into the Everglades and do not provide a substantial amount of information, or a real opportunity to experience the beauty of the Everglades. While I was a little nervous about venturing deep into the forests of the Florida Everglades, our professional and knowledgeable captain made me completely comfortable for our airboat ride in the Everglades. The captain was, as masters of Cypress hydrofoils, U.S. Coast Guard certified, and grew up riding airboats in the Everglades. We had no concerns at all about our security in our air boat tour the Everglades. The boat was equipped with flotation devices and first aid supplies, as well, so we felt like we were well prepared if something occurred. Not only our captain to ensure our safety, but he was also a great tour guide and has shared many details about the ecology, animals, plants, and the history of the Everglades.
Our airboat tour of two hours with Cypress Airboat was a trip about 40 miles across the River of Grass. The River of Grass is a major shallow water, ranging from as shallow as six inches deep as three meters deep. River water Grass is home to many plants and animal species, from alligators of orchids. Our captain was an experienced guide, experienced, and freely shared their knowledge of the area. His skills as a guide and airboat pilot thoroughly enhanced our trip and made it fun and educational for the whole family.
Our airboat ride through the Everglades was a great way to experience this amazing natural environment. We traveled through the river of grass on our tour boat air and saw a huge variety of wetland plants and trees. We saw Sawgrass, water lilies, Bladderwort, and other marsh plants and cypress trees, orchids, and ferns. There were mangrove trees in the Everglades particularly interesting. Our captain was very familiar with the many interesting plants on the tour boat air.
We are all interested in birdwatching, and this was certainly a highlight of our airboat ride in the Everglades of Florida. We were fortunate to see a white ibis and great blue heron, but a number of other birds also inhabit the Everglades. We expected to see a roseate spoonbill or one of the varieties of herons in the region, but not yet I have very much luck.
We saw a number of alligators during our visit to the Everglades, one of a great! That was very exciting for all of us. It was interesting to learn more about the role of the alligators, not only as a top predator in the area, but also the importance of alligators to Global Ecology of the Everglades. Alligators burrow out of alligator holes that provide homes for many aquatic species during the dry season. Manatees and dolphins also live in the open waters of the Everglades, but obviously are not seen in the shallow waters of the mountain.
Our captain told us of a number of other animal species of interest in the area. We had hoped to see the endangered Florida panthers, but I got to see them this time. However, it take a look at a white-tailed deer, and our captain told us to watch for bobcats, weasels, skunks, raccoons and other small mammals that are common in the area, too.
Our airboat ride in the Everglades was an experience none of us will ever forget. We have everything, I can not wait back and definitely plan on taking another trip to Cypress airboats on our next trip to the area. Even we are considering organizing a special full day tour to really explore and experience the beauty and wonder of the Everglades.
