Can be calibrated in-depth search engine?
I have a DS FishEasy Eagle 245 fish / depth finder whose reading is off by about 1 foot in shallow water, for example 2 to 8 feet Can this unit be calibrated / adjusted and, if so, how?
There is a menu allows a correction factor to be programmed in – will be called variation keel or something like that in a manual configuration. It is common practice for some units to be established, so depth is equal to zero keel touches – that's up to the individual and what you get used to. If you do not have a manual that will be able to get online from Eagle hope. Edit – simply have the manual it appears that this unit is very simple, and has no ability to correct errors. Oh well, looks like a little portable unit nice, anyway.
