Which extinguisher to use in the gas fire?
Fire extinguishers are classified by the type of fires that shut down: Class A extinguishers are used in wood products, plastics and rubber, the Class B extinguishers are used in the fires of fats and oil products; Class extinguishers C are used in electrical fires, and Class D extinguishers are used on combustible metals. What type of fire extinguisher should be used in a gasoline fire? a class? Class B? Class C? or class d?
If you refer to "gas" as fuel for cars after class B no doubt, but you can use an extinguisher's Class A water pressure if it contains AFFF (Aqueous Film Forming Foam). The foam provides a protective barrier on the fuel and prevents vaporization and relighting. If you mean a flammable "gas" as in LPG or natural gas, etc, then none of the extinguishers are enough to make the gas pressure. The best way is to disable the source or plug the leak.
