What would be a good depth of low cost / fish finder?
I'm probably just going to use some time to find a ship sank in 15-20 feet of muddy water, so you do not want to pay big $ $ for it. Probably need one that shows the bottom of the lake out a form of boat I am, or does anyone know of another way to find a sunken ship? I just know where it is within about a quarter mile or less.
What you need is side-scan sonar …. which is apparently beyond its budget. However, it might suggest that you contact your local office marine agency. DNR or hunting and fishing. They often have this equipment on their boats. Perhaps they could reduce the search area, in their regular patrols.
