How does the fish finder to compare ShowDown vanes etc?
I am looking to buy a well priced brand new confrontation Fishfinder for icefishing but wondered if anyone nows how well it compares with other locators / Flashers as vanes and Mar'cum?
You really need a exhibitionist-FF rate ice fishing. I've taken my laptop Humminbird LC on the ice, and because you can not update fast enough to work terribly precise the depth and templates. FF liquid crystal displays simply can not update fast enough to separate ice! (in my opinion), your best bet is the Vane FL-8 ($ 300) with a package of Genz. You could spend more and get the update Vane Marcum or FL-20, but unless your a hardcore ice fishermen go with the FL-8.
