I have a 24ft pontoon boat, how can I mount my depth fish finder on it and still work properly?
Obviously, hull transducer isn't going to work. There is a transom mount transducer and support available that allow you to get the transducer below the waterline. If the media that comes with the transducer doesn't get the transducer below the waterline, then you may have to fabricate a mount for the support that comes with the transducer. I'm not sure how long to keep the boat in the water at one time. This is important for materials used to make the support. You can probably get a soldering iron to put something together fairly inexpensive aluminum. Probably not the first person who has encountered this. Check with your local marine supply or even a pontoon dealer. They may have something outside the box that works for you.
