fish finder and gps question?
Right now I have a locator / depth finder on my boat (pager garmin 240). and I'm interested in getting a gps for my boat to follow the weedlines and stuff. I've been looking at some Lowrance and look what I want to believe. Most of the photos that show how gps the sea. so I'm wondering if the show all the lakes and in MN … I also get a single GPS unit or do I get one that has split screen gps / depthfinder / pager? please help me as gps i should get and why!
If it was my team, I do not let the Garmin 240 and use it only as a depth finder. Then get a GPS unit and mount it strictly on one side of the console or where it would be helpful. Lowrance is a unit that has a Internal GPS antenna but can not be mounted flush or antenna is not working properly. Eagle is owned by Lowrance, the only difference between the units is the size of the screen or number of pixels. You can buy maps of regions, verify that the company and the region you need. Make sure you get a map card that will work with the unit to buy.
