Reading a fish finder?
I wonder how you can say what the fund is made up of a fish finder. I've heard you can tell if your rock, sand mud. ect. How to tell you what you already? If it helps im using a hummingbird fishin buddy 120. Thanks
With a machine full color with a thick black line bottom of color, usually red and yellow indicate hard bottom. The no-color thicker and darker the return fund more less hard. Sometimes the edge you will get what is known as a double echo. The distance between the white line and the bottom line will also indicate any sand hard pack or mud. Most modern machines come with dual-frequency modes, 200 kHz or 50 kHz. 50 gives a smaller cone and a better view of the structure the fund, while the 200 is a broader cone wide in search of fish around the boat. http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o185/captdring/000_0471.jpg tight lines free
