Kids Birthday ideas?

The first birthday of my son who is on 02 June. I've been thinking about what I will do for his party. My friend brought the ideas of having a party at the swimming pool since June has a pleasant climate. I like the idea and I think it might work. But I've heard from some people that may not so great because he is so young and have children around a pool all day, not the safest idea. What do you think? Some things I've been thinking to do to make it safer and more attractive to little ones is: I have 7 adults ready to enter the pool at all times and monitor. I also I do 1-3 (approximatly) Afternoon so I know that is not cool. The plan is to make the simple food hamburgers hot dogs, and have begun before the meal begins the party. Let the kids swim for an hour, then eat, cake, and to do this. I'm going to have lifejackets available as well. So what do you think? Ps my son loves to be in the pool.

First, congratulations on the birthday of his son first and best of luck to you and for him in the future. Pool parties can be dangerous especially for children as young as 1 year of age, even if you have all the necessary security implemented as vests lifeguards and adults to supervise children. I've heard of accounts where children have drowned in spite of an excellent adult supervision and life jackets and I'm not just saying this to discourage you. I'm being dead serious and I am sure you want to consider all possibilities before taking the fatal action. I think it is better if you have a simple party indoors with friends and relatives of the family again and only mixed with one and other and socialize. This is not only safe but also is psychologically beneficial to his son since his son will be able to exercise their social skills with their families through the greetings and also teaches to your child about family ties and I know this may seem silly, because your child is only one, but even children from a few months can take a lot through their sub-conscious. I also read this in Reader's Digest magazine is supposed to be good for their children, so I think it will be good and is a good opportunity to talk with family members again. Anyway I hope this helped and happy birthday for your child
