When should you put a child in swimming lessons?
I have 3 year old twins who would like to take swimming lessons, but around here, swimming lessons for children 3 years are only used to get water. my kids are totally fine with water and swim with life jackets or me or my husband's help (we have a pool of back). I know we could just teach, "but I would like to take classes with other children. When did you / will sign their children to swimming lessons and it was worth?
My oldest son is 23 months old and started classes swimming only about a month (which is in Class 3 to 4 years old, though) as I can swim a lil bit, which is advanced for age, more than a year old 4 or 5 in a lot of ways, and is the average size of a child of 4 years. I'd say three is a good time to start, esp. if they are used for water and feel comfortable in the water. So now it seems worth it, loves it, he has only gone to 3 classes, although, as is Sunday and last Sunday that he did not because it was the day of the mothers. D
