Selling life insurance family heritage life?
I put my resume on hotjobs.com as a sales representative …. mainly because I wanted enter Pharm. Sales, but I received an e-mail today from Family Heritage Life asking me to come for an interview. On one hand – that seems too easy, so I wonder if this is legit or not. It gives me a time and place for the interview and I know exactly where is the place and gives me the name of the person I interview. And give me a list of what they offer ($ 40 – $ 60K potential first year (inexperienced), $ 75 – $ 150K potential first year (Experience Management), Sales and Management bond actions, residual income for life with the acquisition of rights after two years )…. In my experience job search … I know it could be so easy. Maybe if you are going to interview all types of people. Do I have a degree, but is in Biology … so I dunno. Is it worth my time and effort or should I seek further elsewhere?
Some insurance companies now operate as a multi-level marketing (I've never heard of the Family Heritage Life embargo), where nobody will hire more or less, allow you to sell to their friends and family and if you do well you keep rolling. If you do not burn out and quit the company in the first year (Which happens 90% of novices) and the company rakes in profit because they are still receiving bonuses, but do not pay as much in commissions. Keywords in your question are potential. If employees also have the potential of not making a dime … which is more often than not for new people. In this industry the first five years you get underpaid for the work you do, the next five years you pay what you owe and after 10 years you get too much. It all depends what kind of people you know. I was told that there was no chance to make $ 100,000 more in its first year, I made $ 20,000 my first year. If you does not have an interest or a passion for financial matters I suggest you keep looking. If you do not have passion for what you are doing the "honeymoon" stage disappear and you want to leave anyway. I'm in the industry and I totally love, but I've always been interested in building my own business and money and how it works. I really wanted to enter this Industy not, everyone is well and I've seen a few people get 'burned' and go bankrupt because did not know what they were getting into (as well as the chance that someone has a business really starts)
