Do Marine CB Radio’s use the same channels as a car cb radio?
I have a base station I would like to use at my lake house, but I need to add a marine radio to my boat. I would like the two to communicate.
CB radios have the same channels, so if you want to talk with your base station put a CB radio in your boat. It does not have the same channels as a marine VHF radio, that you would use to contact the USCG, marine police and others that use the VHF. Yo may be able to get an electronics shop to put the right crystals in a marine VHF to allow you to contact the CB radio at home.
