Is there a car oil filter that matches up with this boat oil filter part # 35-883702Q?
I have a Mercruiser V6 for my Stingray Powerboat. After pumping out all the oil i figured it was about time to change the filter. The oil filter is a Quicksilver with a part number of 35-883702Q. After searching in every marine shop with no luck ive decided to turn to a FRAM car oil filter. Now im in search of the cross referenced part number onto a FRAM car oil filter. Please help!
Oil filters are just about as standard as it is possible to get for engine parts!
Just take the old filter to a local outboard dealership – or just tell them what the engine is. And they will sell you one.
They won’t even have to be Mercury dealers.
If you really think that it will have to be a car one, then take it to an auto-store – for motor accessories, etc – and they will tell you if they have one, or can get one.
