I put a 31ft boat on a mooring buoy in southeastern Wisconsin. Does anyone know where I can do this?
I do know that thanks to the water, ports sports that offer rental for the season? in Lake Michigan.
A permit is required in some cases. A mooring buoy must meet certain size shape and placement requirements, as follows. Mooring buoy at 150 meters from the coast in general, do not require a permit from DNR. The permit may require the municipality local, if enacted an ordinance regulating the local port. Local municipalities may enact ordinances regulating moorings up to 200 yards offshore. Despite permit approval is not required for the buoys to the sea 150 meters (200 feet if regulated by local ordinance), placement of buoys persons must meet the requirements placement below and landowners must give permission.
