How can I get the peas to sink (for my fish swim bladder disorder?)?
I have a guppy that has swim bladder disorder, and I've been trying to feed him bits of shell, steamed peas. The problem is that the peas keep sinking, and the poor fish can not swim down. He fights to keep down, but continues to drive back to the top. Is there a way to get afloat peas? Or is there something else I can do to help my Guppy?
You can go to your local pet store and buy a pair of feeding tongs. These are usually found in the reptile department, because they are used often fed to aggressive reptiles, snakes and turtles to break. They are also useful for food "aggressive" fish as Arowana, Oscars, GARS and piranhas. This tool is also useful in holding or peas medicated food for fish that feed on bottom of cannot. Petco, Petsmart and Petland sell power tongs for about $ 6.00 a pair.
