What type of fire extinguisher is best for the class 100/10, 000 CEA (ISO 5 / 6)?
We currently have a class 10,000 controlled environment (ISO Class 6), Class 2 100 Hoods (ISO 5). I'm looking to get a fire extinguisher in the room, but do not know what kind to get. There would only be fires of class A and C, potentially, my main concern is the generation of particles and cleaning after use. Thank you!
The problem is in the "fire" C "class electric – if you do not have to worry about it, you could go out with a CO2 fire extinguisher. This does not produce particles for easy care and will take over most of the class "A" fires. If you're really worried about the class "C" fires probably going to have to follow the path of dry chemical powder. The thing to note here is that fire is going to cause damage to the chamber that require cleaning important anyway. This is almost always cheaper to repair a room and retrieved on the specification of a fire is contained than it is to replace the building after it has burned down. In the end, if there is a fire that requires a fire extinguisher to extinguish the last thing that should be on your mind is how bad it is for clean up the mess.
