Boosting the VHF signal?
I'm trying to increase the transmission signal of a VHF marine unit, which is designed to function as a unit base. The antenna is mounted on the roof of a tall building of 60 feet, but the transmission range is only 10 miles.The has a maximum power of 25W, the antenna is 9 dB, 1 / 2 wave, I am using more than 150 feet of coaxial cable RG U8. Any suggestions?
Better / higher of the antenna, and / or a VHF amplifier linear.
