What exactly is the number of portable fire extinguishers? for example. "2A".?
Please do not tell me that means that placed out twice a portable water extinguisher 1A.
I co-own a fire extinguisher service company so here is your answer. The number is a UL rating. ALL extinguishers have some kind of classification of UL classification. For example, an extinguisher rated 2A 10BC is the way of telling UL the extinguisher is capable of extinguishing material 2 cubic feet of class A, 10 square meters of liquid on fire, and the C means simply that the extinguishing agent will not conduct electricity. Hope this helps.
