Thrust force … displaced or increased fluid pressure?
well i am reading a physics textbook that says: "… This upward force called buoyancy force, and is a consequence of the pressure increases with depth. "says also Archimedes' principle is" a submerged object is propelled by a force equal to the weight of the displaced fluid "so if anything a diver at greater depths makes its increased buoyancy force or not? the swimmer moves the same amount of time in deep water or just below the surface, but the depth is greater, so there is greater pressure ….. how it affects the buoyancy force ?????
Assuming that the diver is not compressible (actually not very good assumption, since the diver may be very great depths, and things like compress the lungs much more easily than water), the buoyant force on the diver _will_ increase with depth. This is the result of the (very slight) compressibility of water to a very large depth, the water is slightly denser than near the surface. Consider the analogy (but more family) the status of a helium balloon in the atmosphere. The air near the surface of the earth is compressed, and relatively dense. The balloon will rise to the weight of air displacing exactly equals the weight of the globe. Similarly, a diver can sink until the weight is exactly balanced by the weight of water it displaces. However, a situation much more likely that the diver is compressed more than water (which is almost unbelievable incompressible). In that case, the diver displaces less water to great depths to the surface, and probably will continue to sink. It's just that its volume decreases at a rate greater than the density of water increases.
