Babuyan Islands: Paradise Philippines North
Like all adventure travel, our search Babuyan island has never been so easy. About Travel fourteen hours of land from Manila to Aparri and four hours by boat to the island of Camiguin. But admit it. There are adventures of the mind and body are adventures, and the summer holidays offers the perfect opportunity to tune alternative travel skills and challenge of an adventure on the edge-experience the less traveled part of the archipelago – "The Babuyanes. "
Every experienced traveler has a story extreme hallucination. Everything about the sacrifice, but the sky is when conquer any adventure trip you are targeting. The adventure began when nine different individuals come together in a bus station in Manila to begin your search Babuyan Island. It was like the series "Survivor", the team was composed of nine adventure seekers with different professional experience, all in one goal. Upon arrival at the port Camiguin in Brgy. Balatubat, June – the team leader immediately went to the barangay office to ask for possible assistance, luckily in a short time local officials offered the beachfront "house" for our accommodation.
On our second day, we left the island of Camiguin for some islands and whale watching before heading to Babuyan Claro. Seeing a whale diving is simply breathtaking. Just grab your attention, and then the way in silence his slides down into the water. There was a real sense of loss when they disappear whales. Babuyan largest and best-loved visitor – the humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) arrive during the summer for their annual winter holiday, which marks the start of the season for whale watching in the islands. Humpback whales migrate from Alaska each year to breed and calve in the warm coastal waters of Babuyan, one of the Philippine marine sanctuary for whales and their habitat. Surveys by humpback Investigation of the WWF-Philippines and Whale Conservation Project in the last four years, counted over 36 individual humpback whales in the waters of Fugue Calayan and Batanes. The project group has been working in the area since 2000, when local WWF confirms the presence of whales.
The humpback whale is a of the most powerful of its kind, known in particular for its impressive leap from the water aspect (rape), fin slapping, and Lob tailing (arching fair below the surface so the fluke, or tail, arising out of the water as the body descends.) During the mating season, which also are known for complex and disturbing "tracks" that males use to attract females. These songs can last for hours, and research has shown that although there are certain that recur in many of them, males tend to improvise variations that make each song unique. Humpback feeding on small crustaceans called krill, which strive forcing water out of large quantities of seawater through their baleen, a series of overlapping bands located in the jaw plates in the place where the teeth normally found.
His nearly four hours at sea before they finally reached the island of Fuga, a long island with never ending stretch of white sand and coral beaches. It was already 14:00, so we decided to stop for lunch. The chief boatmen told us that it is impossible for us to head to Babuyan course of time so we stayed on the island. The night was pitch black and cold as they wander around to find driftwoods for our campfire. It is a very exciting race, laughter and fun echo everywhere, spooky stories sleepers, everyone is listening until the wee hours of the morning.
Eyes were sponsored little moody in short, and fatigue was recorded around the world face – and I am speaking only of journalists. About 4:00 a.m. when we left the island, aiming to reach the Babuyan Claro. The breeze was unusually cold as we sail to the north of the islands. The waves are getting bigger as they reach the open sea, no one knows that there is a front cold because of the islands lack of communication facilities. Some of us still managed to laugh, referring to relieve stress and fear of the waves gigantic. It was like having the white water rafting in Kalinga and surfing in Siargao all at once. But who can blame? Its part of the adventure, but fishermen are not strong candle every Friday to follow the old beliefs that travel is not safe in this special day of Lent. The adrenaline pumping waves was gone when we reached the cove Camiguin, think that is the end of our adventure, but the truth is that it was only the beginning.
The third day was his turn to smile, that may have failed to conquest of the three remaining islands, but there are always "next time." We can say that we are the true "survivors" because this time we are not guided by a hyphen or a series of obstacles based on reality but true to life exciting adventure. It was a sunny morning, everyone was prepared for the beach and dolphins jumping. Halfway to the front Pamuktan Island, we've seen a couple of cheerful dolphins, making compensation handful of show. As sailing around the island, the dolphins are just coming out of the water. The playful dolphins charmed everyone. We had a snorkeling right on the edge of the beach and then we headed back to Camiguin for birding and nature trip. Ah! This is life.
Babuyan The island group consists of five islands north of Aparri. All the islands are small communities Ilokano. Telephone lines and mobile phones are unknown and only a few settlers have electricity gasoline powered generators provided.
Cagayan province is bounded by the ridges of the Sierra Madre in the east extends to the shores of cities coastal south is the province of Isabela in the west is the Cordillera Mountain and the north by the Balintang Babuyanes and the Sea of China. Babuyan group of Calayan islands include, Dalupiri, Fuga, Camiguin and Babuyan Claro is about fifty nautical miles north of Aparri. There are no luxury resorts in these islands and there is no line ferries regular, but the trip here with all its disadvantages is that it's worth the effort.
Whether whale watching or the discovery of a beach resort great is your goal, Babuyan Island Group offers much for the active traveler.
Babuyan Island Adventure is all about dreaming a vacation after it was over. It gives you an endless discovery, almost impossible to forget.
The experience may not forgive, but it really was a trip to remember.
